The opening ceremony of a five days long training program for 72 newly appointed IT Officers of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited was held on October 14, 2012, Sunday at Mohammad Younus Auditorium of Islami Bank Tower. Prof. Abu Nasser Muhammad Abduz Zaher, Chairman of the Bank was present at the program as Chief Guest. Presided over by Mohammad Abdul Mannan, Managing Director of the Bank, Engr. Eskander Ali Khan, Chairman, Executive Committee and Engr. Muhamamd Dawood Khan, Sponsor and former Director of the Bank were present as special guest. Md. Nurul Islam, Eng. Mohammad Abul Bashar, Syed Abdullah Mohammad Saleh, Deputy Managing Directors and Abu Taher Mohammad Saleh, Executive Vice President and Director General of Islami Bank Training & Research Academy (IBTRA) were also present on the occasion. Abdus Sadeque Bhuiyan, Executive Vice President and Head of Human Resources Division addressed the welcome speech.

Engr. Eskander Ali Khan that the new officers have to work hard with devotion for success. He called upon all to explore various branches of knowledge and work hard to make IBBL as the best bank of the world keeping pace with the trend of success of Islamic Banking.
Mohammad Abdul Mannan in his presidential speech said that the great asset of Islami Bank is skilled manpower. Islami Bank has gained the success of leading bank of the country for its 12 thousand manpower effort. He said that Islami Bank developed software through its own manpower. He called upon the officers to obtain knowledge of Islamic Banking alongside knowledge of technology and play vital role in establishing Islamic Banking.
