Islami Bank Training & Research Academy (IBTRA) organised a day-long workshop on ‘Centralised Investment Proposal Processing System’ at Mohammad Younus Auditorium of Islami Bank Tower on 5 June 2013. Engr. Md. Eskander Ali Khan, Chairman, Executive Committee of the Bank inaugurated the workshop as chief guest. Presided over by Mohammad Abdul Mannan, Managing Director of the Bank, the function was attended, among others, by Md. Habibur Rahman, Md. Nurul Islam, Mohammad Abul Bashar and AKM Abdul Malek Chowdhury, all are Deputy Managing Directors of the Bank. A total of 72 officials and executives of corporate branches and head office of the Bank participated in the workshop.
Engr. Md. Eskander Ali Khan, in his speech said that Islami Bank is working for the socio-economic development of the country. Investment of the Bank is playing vital role in expanding the country’s commerce and industry. He urged the officials to reach the welfare services of the Bank to the customers within a short span of time and perform jobs with professional knowledge and skills.
Mohammad Abdul Mannan, in his presidential speech, said that the aim of Islamic Banking is to provide the need based services to the clients. He said that adopting the principle of need based not merely greed based, Islami Bank has been giving priority to fulfill the basic needs of the people since its inception.
