Islami Bank Banladesh Limited has opened its 303rd Branch at Singair of Manikganj. Engr. Mustafa Anwar, Chairman of the bank inaugurated the branch on December 20, 2015 Sunday as the chief guest. Presided over by Md. Habibur Rahman Bhuiyan, FCA, Deputy Managing Director, the inaugural ceremoney was addressed by Md Mosharrof Hossain, Executive Vice President and head of Development Wing and Md. Kawsar ul Alam, Executive Vice President and Head of Dhaka North Zone of the bank. Md Shahajahan Munshi, Assistant General Manager, Bangladesh Krishi Bank, Abdul Khaleque, former Chairman, Balodhara Union, Akram Hossain, Head Master of Singair Pilot High School, Md Nuruddin, Principal of Singair University College, Laily Begum, woman enterprenurer, among others spok on the occasion. Local traders, professionals, ulemas, bank officials and social elites attended the inaugural ceremony.
Engr. Mustafa Anwar said, Islami Bank has been conducting banking business through transparency and accountability in compliance with rules and regulations of Bangladesh Bank and all regulatory authorities. He, however, gave directives to the bank officials to play role in socio-economic development of Singair area through providing banking services and investment in SME, Agriculture, Industry, employment generation and woman empowerment.
Md. Habibur Rahman Bhuiyan, FCA said Islami Bank has upgraded the living standard of one million marginal people of twenty thousand villages through it RDS. The bank handles 27% foreign remittance of the country, he added.
