A views-exchange meeting of senior executives of Islami Bank Banglaseh Limited and different credit rating institutions of the country was held on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at board room of Islami Bank Tower. Presided over by Mohammad Abdul Mannan, Managing Director & CEO of the bank, the program was addressed by Khandakar Ibrahim Khaled, Chairman of National Credit Rating Ltd., Dr Jamal Uddin, Chairman of Emerging Credit Rating Agency Ltd. & Director of Bangladesh Bank, Md. Muzaffar Ahmed, President & CEO of Credit Rating Information & Services Ltd., Hamidul Hoque, Managing Director of Credit Rating Agency of Bangladesh Ltd., Md. Asadullah, Managing Director of Alpha Credit Rating Ltd., Dr. Hasan Imam, Managing Director of ARGUS Credit Rating Ltd., Abdul Wadud, Managing Director of WASO Credit Rating Company (BD) Ltd., Sayed Javed Ahmed, CEO of Bangladesh Credit Rating Agency Ltd., Md. Habibur Rahman Bhuiyan, FCA, Md. Mahbub-ul-Alam, Abdus Sadeque Bhuiyan and Md. Shamsuzzaman, Deputy Managing Directors of Islami Bank. Senior executives of the bank and the credit rating institutions attended the program.
Speakers in the meeting said, the credit rating institutions have enough role in decreasing loan defaulters and bad loans and ensuring overall transparency in the banking sector. They underscored the need for joint initiative for quality and customer-friendly rating services .
