Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited has opened its 305th branch at Debiganj of Panchagarh. Engr. Mustafa Anwar, Chairman of the bank inaugurated the branch as chief guest on October 3, 2016 Monday. Presided over by Mohammad Abdul Mannan, Managing Director & CEO of the bank, Md. Abdul Mabud, P.P.M., Chairman, Risk Management Committee, Md. Joynal Abedin and Prof. Dr. Md. Sirajul Karim, Directors of the bank adressed the program as special guest.
The inaugural ceremony was addressed, among others by Parimal De Sarker, Upazilla Vice Chairman, Debiganj, Lutfun Nahar Laki, Mohila Vice Chairman, Ashraful Alam Patwari, President, Panchagarh Chamber of Commerce and Industries, ASM Nuruzzaman and Md. Abdul Malek Chishti, social elite. Md. Shahidullah, Executive Vice President and Head of Rangpur zone presented welcoming speech in the program. Md. Mosharraf Hossain, Executive Vice President and Head of Development Wing along with top executives and officials of the bank, local businessmen, professionals, and social elites were present in the program.
On the occasion of opening of 305th Debiganj Branch, a seminar on ‘Superiority and Success of Islamic Banking System’ was held at the Branch premises on October 2, 2016, Sunday. Presided over by Mohammad Abdul Mannan, Managing Director & CEO, Md. Shahidullah, Executive Vice President and Head of Rangpur zone presented key note paper in the seminar. Dr. Md. Abdus Samad, Member Secretary, Shariah Supervisory Committee and Md. Hasinur Rahman, Khateeb, Debiganj Upazilla Jame Masjid adressed the seminar as discussant.
