The Pavilion of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited was awarded 1st prize at Dhaka International Trade Fair-2012.
Commrece Minister Ghulam Mohammad Quader, MP handed over the award to Mohammad Abdul Mannan, Managing Director of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited at a closing ceremony of the Fair on Tuesday 31 January, 2012. Islami Bank was awarded in Mini Pavilion category participating in the fair for the first time.
Islami Bank participated this fair to encourage export-import and promoting the flow of remittance in banking channel.
Presided Over by Shubhashish Bosu, Vice Chairman, Export Promotion Bureau the program was addressed as Special Guests by ABM Abul Kashem MP, President, Parliamentary Standing Committee for Commerce Ministry, Md. Golam Hossain, Secretary, Ministry of Commerce and AK Azad, President, FBCCI.
Exceptionally decorated pavilion of Islami Bank attracted a large number of visitors. Theme of the pavilion design reflected increasing honor of Bangladesh Passport all over the world by developing export-import business and earning foreign remittance. The pavilion was set up on round pillars with a tomb atop showing the world map. Atop the globe a hand has raised high the passport of Bangladesh. A floating business ship, container moover, replica of globe, white heron and spotted deer created a charming atmosphere. An ATM boot of the Bank was also set up in the fair. Clients of Islami Bank, Omnibus and Q-cash member Banks withdrew money from the booth standing in queue.
