Md. Anisul Haque is a seasoned banking professional with over three decades of experience in leadership, operations, and strategic management within Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC. Joining the bank in 1995 as a Probationary Officer, he has risen steadily through the ranks to his current position as Senior Executive Vice President and Head of the Retail Investment Wing.

Over his distinguished career, Mr. Haque has successfully led diverse portfolios, including Branches Control, Zonal Operations, Corporate Branch Management, Foreign Exchange and International Trade. He is widely recognized as a leading expert in Foreign Trade and the RMG sector, contributing significantly to the bank’s growth, financial strength and industry reputation.

He has held key leadership roles such as Head of Branches in Saidpur, Chawk Mugultuly, Ramna Corporate and the Local Office, the largest operational unit of the bank as well as Head of the Mymensingh Zone. At the Head office, he has led various divisions including Foreign Trade Operations Division (FTOD), Branches Control Division (BCD), Central Procurement Divisoin (CPD) and Development Wing driving strategic initiatives and strengthening operational performance.

Mr. Haque’s contributions extend beyond national boundaries. As a member of the Bank’s three-member delegation to Jaiz Bank PLC, Nigeria, he visited to evaluate their banking operations and provided valuable insights and recommendations that strengthened cross-border collaboration and operational oversight.

Mr. Haque holds a B.S.S. (Hons.) and an M.S.S. in Public Administration from the University of Dhaka. He is a Diplomaed Associate of the Institute of Bankers, Bangladesh (DAIBB) and has successfully completed a Diploma in Islamic Banking (DIB).

He has also completed extensive local and international training in banking operations, foreign trade, corporate governance, risk management, and leadership, including specialized programs in Thailand, Hong Kong, and India. In addition, He undertook personal visits to Istanbul, Malaysia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives to gain knowledge and enrich his professional perspective.

Known for his operational expertise, strategic vision, and commitment to Shariah-compliant banking practices, Mr. Haque continues to play a pivotal role in the Bank’s development and operational efficiency in alignment with its long-term goals.
