IBBL Dhaka Central Zone holds online Business Development Conference
 
Dhaka Central Zone of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited organized online Business Development Conference on 14 May 2020. Md. Mahbub ul Alam, Managing Director and CEO of the bank addressed the conference as chief guest. Mohammed Monirul Moula, Muhammad Qaisar Ali and Md. Omar Faruk Khan, Additional Managing Directors of the Bank addressed the program as special guests. Abu Reza Md. Yeahia and Md. Siddiqur Rahman, Deputy Managing Directors, Mohammad Jamal Uddin Mazumder and Abul Faiz Muhammad Kamaluddin, Senior Executive Vice Presidents also addressed the conference. Presided over by Md. Altaf Hossain, Head of Dhaka Central Zone the online conference was attended by Head of Branches under the zone.

Md. Mahbub ul Alam said that the world economy is facing challenges today. The banking sector has an important role to play in tackling this challenge. The investment incentives in the sector announced by the government should be easily disbursed to the appropriate clients according to the guidelines of Bangladesh Bank, he added. He said that the garment workers should be paid their salaries and allowances through Islami Bank''''''''''''''''s Mobile Banking mCash with more sincerity.

He said besides adhering to the national policy and guidelines of Bangladesh Bank, Islami Bank has been providing regular services to its clients using all branches, agent banking outlets and alternative banking technologies since the beginning of the crisis. He said one-third of the country''''''''''''''''s remittances have come through Islami Bank at the moment due to the immense trust and confidence of clients, well-wishers and expatriate Bangladeshis. This remittance is playing an important role in keeping the country''''''''''''''''s foreign trade active, he said. He thanked the officers and employees for providing services and urged the concerned to provide and receive banking services in compliance with the health norms. He also urged to provide services using alternative banking channels such as iBanking, Cellfin, mCash, ATM and CRM to the customers.
